Hand-selected team members from The Culture of Atlanta recently attended a national leadership conference in Dallas. As Rodney J., our Director of Operations, noted, we receive significant return on our investment for sending people to these industry events. Here is his advice on how to make the most of these opportunities:
• Network: “Industry conferences tend to attract the best and the brightest,” said Rodney. “As part of The Culture of Atlanta learning program, we stress networking with influential business leaders and others who can have a solid impact on our professional development journeys. These top leaders are the kinds of people with whom our team members need to connect.”
• Absorb Knowledge: “Events like this have a strong learning component,” Rodney continued. “We encourage our attendees to pick up as much information and best practices as possible. Whether it’s about leadership and managing others, or new techniques we can use in our field, it’s all good.”
• Apply What You’ve Learned Immediately: “When attendees return to The Culture of Atlanta office, they’re inspired from the experience,” Rodney continued. “We channel that energy and have them share what they’ve learned with the team. There’s always a marked increase in productivity and morale after these conferences. Plus, it’s always nice to have something new to try and see the results.”
We’ll be headed to our next conference soon. Like us on Facebook for updates.
